The Top 10 Things that Im thankful for 2011

I've already written down my resolutions. I guess, as this is the first day of the year, it's the time for me to bring back the things that Im thankful for the last year, which was just, like, yesterday.

1. Bubu is such a happy and healthy baby. I can never be happy than having such a healthy daughter. She is already 1 year old and she's learning things on her own, at her own pace. She's such a happy person. I cant just help myself and be so contented when she is showing us her bubbly antics. I just love her.

2. Being hired by P&G. I felt like a successful person upon being hired by P&G. I learned a lot. I had a lot. I will always be thankful to P&G. There may be changes in 2012, but P&G will always be big for me.

3. Rebonded hair. Okay, not so big. But, something that Im thankful for because again, I have given myself something that I deserve.

4. My Optimus Hub. Really happy that I was able to purchase my new phone out of my Christmas bonus and 16th month pay. Finally, I was able to buy myself something pricey.

5. Our LED TV. We're still a startup family and we continue to invest on our appliances and stuff. We're just happy that we are now owning a TV! Hehehe.

6. My Bubu's 1st birthday. Though it rained on the 14th of November, Im still happy that I was able to give my daughter the best 1st birthday that I could give her. Good food, funny clown, good balloon arrangement, big cake and our loved ones. I think it's just perfect, minus the rain, of course.

7. People who loves my Bubu. There are a lot who always show us their love for Bubu. Her aunts, uncle Paul, ninongs and ninangs, etc. Thanks for being there for Bubu. Thanks for your gifts and always giving her priority. It means a lot to us. Thank you :)

8. My 21st birthday. Im happy that it was celebrated with a few that are close to my heart. Im also happy that Im now eligible to apply for a credit card! I can now say that Im, confirmed, of legal age.

9. Arra and her IBM employment. I know it is an achievement for her and a big help for my family in Veterans. As the eldest, Im the one who's supposed to support them, but since I had a family at an early time, she is the one bearing the responsibility that is supposed to be mine. Im thankful of having her as a sister. To this note, also comes a big sorry.

10. My own family is complete and happily living together. Arven and I may always have arguments and some big fights, but we are still intact and one. And that is something that I will always be thankful for. All I want now is a home that we can call ours.

My 2012 New Year's Resolution

I want to welcome the New Year with a bang!

Happy New Year!

When I say with a bang, I mean it big. It has to come along with a big change from me. And so let this space entail my resolution for 2012.

STICK TO MY RESOLUTIONS!

1. Be happy. This one is really my priority. I've got to focus on being happy by, probably, being carefree. As they usually say, live like there's no tomorrow. We can never know what can happen after each day. We're given the chance to live, and so enjoy the most out of it and disregard the things that are making me worry and weary. :)

2. Save up! Really really something I have to start on. There are a lot of things that I want my child to have and there are a lot of stuff we've got to purchase for the house. Plus, lots of events that we've got to invest on, e.g. church wedding. I admit our earnings aren't reaching 6 digits yet but we must start saving up today!

3. Be fit. When I attended the Corporate Athlete training, as provided by the company, I told myself that Im gonna commit to running every Wednesday. I even aligned this with my training buddy so that we'll be accountable for each other's commitment. However, congratulations to me, I still haven't started that out! Hmmm. Im actually thinking of, first, buying a good pair of running shoes. That, I guess will motivate me even more.

4. Reward myself. This is not just applicable to me but also to my husband. I think that we should reward ourselves in every month that we work for our family. How about around 500-1000 worth of something for ourselves every payday. This might sound in contrast with my second resolution, but budgeting can never go wrong. I just have to be strict with my budget so that I'll be okay with my items 2 and 4.

5. Wake up early. "Early to bed, early to rise. Makes a man  healthy, wealthy and wise". I just realized this from someone. She doesn't struggle in waking up early because she goes home early. And she is also really wealthy. I guess this is something that will make me successful...healthy, wealthy and wise.

New Hire planners for 2012

I got my planner now!

Arven bought me my 2012 Belle De Jour Planner from Powerbooks on the Christmas day.

It's so nice to own my planner finally. The planner has got all of my necessary parts like the savings tracker, health tracker, emergency numbers and the usual day to day planner. Plus, the very-BDJ-original coupons from different merchants.

Cza completed the required number of Starbucks stickers even before SB announced that they are trimming down the required number to just 14. She chose the Cherry one which has the not so light and not so dark cover. Her planner is a bit smaller than the old SB ones.

Lastly is Larn's planner with the name, ehem, This Journal Will Actually Change Someone's Life 2012. Okay, that's kind of long for a title. Her planner is really cute. It has lots of Nice-to-Know trivia in every day. Plus, some added pages that are not in my BDJ like, at the end of the year, a summary page of the bests of the yeat; and at the first part of the year, there's like a New Year's resolution part. And some Doodle Pages on the last pages.

But wait, this planner costs more than my BDJ. It's 775.00! Quite pricey I would say. But it is really awesome.

How I love JamichTV

There is this sweet Filipino couple that's trending in Twitter! I can say that their first video, By Chance, tells so much about most real life love stories. I can even relate it to my own ♥ story too.

The first video that I was able to watch was "Text". It's the reenactment of the story that I was able to read some years back. I can say that they are so effective. I can find myself so hooked to it.

I was just surprised to see them in Gandang Gabi Vice last Dec. 04. I was like, "Oh my! Sikat pala sila!".

I just realized that I should be happy

This is my most recent Facebook status at press time (writer?!) I guess, this is something that I should focus myself on.

After a not-so-happy college life, I immediately grasp the responsibility of becoming a mother. Well, not that I dont love being a mother to my Bubu. It's just that my mind is telling me that being a mother means making your daughter the happiest. Without me considering my happiness too.

Dont get me wrong here. My bubu will always be the reason for my happiness and she will always be my priority. But this time, I will concentrate on our happiness.

Instead of thinking about the things that are making me cry, think hard and sulk, I will think of the things that will make me feel that Im important, loved and valued.

I will try to forget the idealism  that we I am existing to just survive. Ika nga nila, live life to the fullest.

I never had the chance to really live happily without considering others. I always think na I have to always consider them. I have constraints when doing something kasi my happiness involves others.

Like with marriage, well, my life right now is like as if Im married. Im still dreaming of wearing that dreamed wedding gown walking down that red-carpeted aisle. But the dream seems hard to reach. This one is accountable for me being unhappy.

They say to marry the right man as it will dictate 90% of your happiness. Yeah, I agree to this. Sabi nila, can you live with that for the rest of your life. I say, nobody's perfect. When he's fine, we're happy. When he's more fine (playing game) I became unhappy. But that's his happiness. I shouldn't take it away from him.

This is one of the things I hope will change in me. To be happy, I need to refrain myself from being so dependent on him. I have to be happy, just like him. I have to find ways to make me happy, too.

When I grow old, I will wish that I hope I lived my life to the fullest. I dont want that to happen.

So from now on, I will think and live happily.

This cute stuffed pet was given by Bubu's ninang on her first birthday. This is so adorable and I wish this will be Bubu's lovey.

I just wanted to share how adorable this cute pet is. Sometimes, I can get just hear myself singing her song in the office. Her songs just keep coming back to my mind. Hehe.
